The next Kentucky Philological Association Meeting and Conference will be March 1 and 2, 2018, at the University of Pikeville. The 2019 Call For Proposals is now available. Once you’ve completed your proposal or paper, please submit using our EasyChair page, using these instructions. The deadline for submissions is January 14, 2019 (and this is not likely to be extended). Please submit; we’d love to have you participate and see you in March! If you have any questions or problems submitting, please contact the KPA webmaster (contact info at the bottom of the page).
Registration for the event will be available in November 2018. You will be able to register and pay by credit card as in recent years. Please note that the registration cost for full professors has been increased to $60 and undergraduates to $20.
The conference hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn in Pikeville (conference-specific link). Please book your room before February 1, 2019 to get the event discount.
Schedule: the Conference will start at noon on Friday March 1, the banquet will be Friday night, and then the conference will run all day Saturday March 2 until 4:30pm. The banquet and KPA presidential address will be Friday evening, the membership business meeting will be Saturday over lunch; box lunches will be available for purchase for those attending the meeting. We do prefer that attendees register and pay here (that gives us better meal counts) but registration and payment will also be available at the event.
